Put a sponge in the fridge.
All you have to do is place a few sponges at the bottom of the drawer where the fruits and vegetables are stored. By placing them side by side, you will form a barrier against moisture: this will be completely absorbed by the sponges and will no longer come into contact with the food. Enough to keep them in good condition for much longer!
Good to know: Fruits and vegetables can retain their flavour and last longer if kept in separate compartments. In fact, they risk spoiling more quickly and losing their flavour if they come into contact with other foods. The cause is the ethylene gas present in these foods, which acts as a ripening agent.
